CO-DESIGN AND PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Customers recognise Lampia as their partner and demonstrate this by involving it increasingly in the preliminary phases of designing new products. Therefore, Lampia works actively with the customer’s development centre in the project design phase, using advanced software products that allow an effective, rapid exchange of information, with the aim of reducing time-to-market. The product developed in co-design is then industrialised after having identified the technologically most appropriate solution from the economic and the technical point of view.

SOLUTION FOR THE FUNCTIONAL/AESTHETIC IMPROVEMENT OF A SERIES OF COVERS FOR A DIAGNOSTIC INSTRUMENT

- Study and analysis of the most suitable resins and thermoplastic materials.
- Co-design to optimise the product’s geometry and moulding potential.
- Lead time for constructing extremely aggressive moulds so as to avoid having to construct pilot moulds for producing the pre-series.

REVISION OF AN EXISTING PRODUCT (FAN-HOLDER DRAWER FOR SERVER) FOR COSTS OPTIMISATION VIA A CHANGE OF TECHNOLOGY AND REDESIGN OF THE PRODUCT’S MAIN FUNCTIONS.

- Transition from electro-welded sheet metal to injection-moulded techno-polymer
- Proposal to the customer via 3D models already optimised for mould technology.
- Grouping together of various functions in one single object moulded in plastic.
- Significant reduction in production costs of the final set.
